GARDEN WORKSHOPS

Stanley’s Greenhouses, 3029 Davenport Rd. in South Knoxville, will host the following free garden workshops.

Saturday, October 19, 10 a.m. Fall is For Planting!

Create your own amazing display this fall and winter, and do a little planning for spring, with some helpful advice from our staff.

New homeowners, apartment/condo/townhouse dwellers, even interior spaces are covered in this seminar.

Saturday, November 2, 10 a.m. Fairy Garden Terrarium Workshop.

All supplies, plants, and decorations will be available for purchase, or bring your own.

NEW AT IJAMS

Ijams Nature Center will have the grand opening of the park’s newly constructed ropes course on Thursday, Oct. 24. In partnership with New Horizons Center for Experiential Learning, a Knoxville-based training and development firm, Ijams will offer custom experiences that utilize action-centered learning to build teams, develop leaders, and strengthen organizations.

The Ijams Ropes Course is located at 3112 Island Home Ave., across the street from the main entrance to the park.
